This weekend Heather and I had a change of scenery. On Saturday we went to the north shore to house sit and watch over a 13 year old, a 17 year old that arrived from Russia yesterday, and a 19 year old from Brazil with a british accent. All three of them were very mature for their age, even the 17 year old on her first day in Vancouver was off on her own figuring out the bus routes, getting phone cards, and exploring downtown on her own.
I did some reading and then got a lesson on how to play World of Warcraft, followed by sitting down and watching a Brad Pitt slice people up in Troy.
It’s nice to have a change of setting from time to time, and it makes the weekend seem a little longer.
