I bought a domain name today.
www.googlesnoop.com
I’m going to turn it into a news site where I post mostly notices of updates to Google’s different pages, and maybe add a bit of speculation.
Behind the scenes I have written some software to collect information about Google. Hopefully I’ll be able to fish up something unique on a regular basis.
Google, like Apple, has a large number of people that enjoy speculating about what the companies will be doing in the future. I think I can supply some original content that will get me an audience.
One of the other benefits is that I’ll have a topic of interest for some of the biggest sites out there like digg.com, slashdot.org, and reddit. If my software manages to snag just one front page story on one of those sites, I’ll probably crash the server, but I also might make some money.
Over the next week, I’ll be working on the site, aiming for a launch date of Monday March 5th.
