Finding more time in the day.

I’ve noticed one problem lately. I need entirely too much sleep.

There’s only so many hours in a day, and I need more of them. I need more time to read and more time to develop HalOtis. Over the past few weeks I haven’t been able to find much time to do much of either.

Every night I get at least 8 hours of sleep. Still, every morning is a chore to get out of bed. Maybe it’s a symptom of the lack of sunlight during the winter. If that’s the case, maybe a vitamin D supplement would help. However, I get the feeling that the problem is that I need more exercise.

Ideally, I would only need 5 or 6 hours per night. That would give me 2 to 3 hours per day or 700 to 1000 extra working hours per year. that’s equivalent to as much as 29 weeks at the office.

I get a lot of work done in 29 weeks at work. The thought that I could accomplish the same amount of work on my own stuff over 1 year is mind boggling.

To help me get there, I’m going to do a couple of things:

  1. Start taking vitamin D
  2. Start running
  3. Start lifting weights
  4. Eating more vegetables, less meats, and drinking more water
  5. Ween myself off sleep
