Finished my first 10K with a time of 1:10.
Considering that I never ran more than 2.5 km before stopping when I was in Vancouver. Even with the altitude here in Calgary I managed to get to the 4K mark before having to start run/walking. So I’m pretty pleased with the time.
I was also impressed with the organization of the races. As it was my first time running in anything like this I wasn’t quite prepared for the amount of stuff they have to give out. I got a Calgary Run shirt, and lots of samples. After the run there was a full shopping experience with pudding, bananas, yogurt, powerbars and other goodies. There’s definitely value in the $45 registration cost.
I might be hooked.
