I’m working on a new program at home to grab stock information and store it in files on my machine. In the first phase of implementation I’m writing some code to grab stock information from Yahoo and Google finance and store it in HDF5 files. At the moment it’s looking pretty good, and I’ve been pleased with how easy it is to get back into programing python after a few years.
Once I get my workstation upgraded over the weekend, development work should be able to pick up speed. There are some libraries that are updated in the latest beta of ubuntu.
