The national drink of Brazil is the caipirinha. It’s a traditional Brazilian drink prepared with cachaça,
which is a liquor made from sugar cane. To make the drink you take a lime and roll it to loosen it up a bit then cut up the whole thing in to 1/8ths and put it in a glass. Add some sugar and muddle it with a pestle. Add the cachaça and stir to mix. Then add the ice and stir again. It is delicious and potent!
If you can’t find cachaça, then try it with vodka, then drink will then be called caipiroshka. No vodka? Use white rum and you will have a caipiríssima.
It’s not that easy to make right, but it’s excellent if you can get it right.
