Today was the greatest day yet for our running training.
We did the route for the Vancouver Sun Run this morning early at 9am. Heather and I have seen a dramatic improvement in our running ability since we started training for this run.
The thing that I noticed the most is that our recovery time, the time it takes the heart rate to return to normal, has improved dramatically. We’ve gone from having to stop at 2 minutes of running up to 10 minutes.
This time we did the 10K in 1 hour and 20 minutes, but that was with a significant amount of walking to discuss tactics for the actual race. I’m expecting great times for the race on next Sunday.
It’s going to be AWESOME!!
