Heather Ale

For dinner tonight I paired a garlic marinated pork tenderloin and caramelized carrots with a beer from Scotland called Fraoch. Fraoch is Scottish Gaelic for Heather.

It’s a very interesting beer, it has a floral flavor, with a hint of spearmint, with a hint of hops as a finish. Very cool, and different from any beer I’ve had before.

They have some really fantastic beers in Vancouver.
