Running the Marathon

The marathon is the ultimate running race.  The distance is at a tipping point in human endurance.  42 kilometers is a real test of human running abilities. 

There’s just 8 months to go before the actual race and I’m in a competition with Colum to get in the best shape of my life.  And because Colum takes things like this very seriously I’m going to have to step up my game and get ripped faster than I’ve ever been.

My recent half-marathon time of 2:35 will have to be replaced with a full-marathon time of 3:30 or better.  That’s going to be a real challenge.

So I’m making a huge effort to create a solid diet and training routine.  Basically the problem is that I need more time in the day.  I need 9 hours for work, then a few hours to work at home, and a few hours to workout before doing it all over again.

With my home time split between working out and growing my business it’s going to be a tough winter.
