I’m not going to be trying to have a stellar performance for the half on Feb 15th. It was really just motivation to keep the training going through the winter.
With just 2 weeks to go before that race I’m feeling really good about running 23Km.
On Sunday we did a 16Km run and afterward I was ready for some more. At the slow pace we normally do on Sunday it took 2.5 hours. So I’m comfortable with the time required to finish the half marathon.
There is one problem I’ve been running into. For the last 2 weeks every time I run I get a pain in my side – it’s not a stitch and feels more like I could have bruised something. I’m hoping that it will get better over the next few weeks.
