There’s just one month until the upcoming Kelowna half marathon that I’m going to be doing. And I’m still not ready for it.
It is going to be difficult to train this month for the race with Heather’s parents coming for a visit and all the freshly brewed beer that is ready to drink.
To make matters worse I have been having issues with my achilles when running that hasn’t improved with training.
All in all it’s not looking like it will be a stellar race.
The only hope I have is to focus on loosing a bunch of weight this month. It’s going to be difficult but I need to drop 10-15 lbs. In addition to a reduced carb diet I’m going to be focusing on strength training. We will see how it goes.
