Mechanical Keyboards

For the last 7 years I have been using Apple keyboards both at home and at the office. The low profile and short stroke are quite nice.

However for over a year now I have occasionally been looking at getting a mechanical keyboard. I was intrigued to find out if there was something that I was missing out on by not using one.

For my birthday I finally ordered one and have been clickety clacking all week with it.

To be honest the novelty still hasn’t worn off. It sounds and feels like I stepped back into a computer office in the 70’s with people typing madly on those old IBM keyboards. Heather would now prefer if I closed my office door because the sound carries through the basement.

It’s actually kind of fun though to type on one.

I have found that the tilt and action on this keyboard encourages you to keep your fingers and wrists at the proper angles which I hope will help with any strain.
