This past week we have started to go through everything in the house and toss, sell, or give away anything we don’t use or don’t plan on using. The great purge of 2015 has started.
Five years of living in a house and too much stuff has accumulated. The resulting clutter reduces our living space and adds to the stress and distraction of being here. So we’re getting rid of a lot of stuff.
It feels like we already have a new house and we’re only 1/2 way through the process. It’ll probably be another week before things are completely finished and the house will be in it’s best shape since we bought it.
While purging all our stuff we are also doing a top to bottom cleaning and painting of every room that needs it.
Going though this process has reminded me of just why we bought this house in the first place. A small 1950’s bungalow has proven to be a great decision. A smaller house really forces you to limit the amount of crap you keep around but never need or use.
