Stretching Tight Shoulders

For a long time now I have been having a lot of strain in my upper back.  This is perhaps due to so much computer work.

I have attempted to fix the issue by switching to a standing desk in my home office which I use most of the day.  Unfortunately this isn’t enough to stretch out all the tightness that has accrued over the years.

My body has adapted to life at a desk by letting the muscles shorten and connective tissue weaken.

So I dug out a bar to help with some shoulder stretching which I keep in my office and try to do several exercises throughout the day.

After following @gymnasticbodies on instagram for a while it’s been shocking at just how impossible some of the simple movements are for me to do.  they’re account is a daily dose of inspiration and a kick in the butt to continue to improve my mobility.
